Local cancer survivors walked the first lap, the â€śSurvivor Walkâ€ť at the 2011 Nolan County Relay For Life. Family and friends followed after the first lap. Many activities took place at the event including live music by Bitter Creek and Static Pulse and a performance by Team Chip Tae Kwon Do. Fundraisers were also held at the event to add to the money raised for the cause. Relay For Life teams held different fundraisers for the event. Teams included Brookshireâ€™s, First Baptist Church, Choose Life Community, B-Boppin Bankers (First Financial Bank), State Farm, Roscoe State Bank, Power Up (First United Methodist Church), Pyromaniacs, Broadway Baptist Church and Sweetwater Christian School.
