Representative Susan L. King will be visiting several locations in District 71 on Thursday, Dec. 2, 2010, to meet with constituents and tour some areas of interest in the Big Country.
After broadcasting her weekly radio interview on KWKC 1340 AM at 8:10 on Thursday morning, Rep. King will host a legislative update at the Taylor Electric Cooperative auditorium in Merkel, Texas. Her next stop will be Trent Independent School District, where Rep. King will visit with Superintendent Greg Priddy, his staff and students as well as explore the UIL Competition that will be taking place at the school. Traveling on to Nolan County, there will be a combined luncheon with the Sweetwater Rotary, Kiwanis and Lions Clubs at Texas State Technical College. Rep. King's final stop of the day will be the Buffalo Gap Historic Village for a chance to explore our history and talk with museum staff and supporters about education and tourism issues.
During the tour of her district, Representative King will have the opportunity to interact with interested citizens before the 82nd Legislative Session, which begins Jan. 11, 2011.
"Before I head to Austin for the upcoming session, it is important for me to hear directly from constituents and learn what they wish the legislature to address.Â It is always a pleasure to visit the diverse areas of our district and discuss what the most critical issues are for District 71," said Representative King.
