Holy Mass of Christian Burial for Richard G. Ramirez, 50, of Sweetwater, will be held Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012, at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church with Father Okonkwo officiating. Interment will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
A Rosary will be Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012, at 7 p.m. at McCoy Chapel of Memories.
Ramirez died Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, in Abilene.
He was born Oct. 20. 1961, in Sweetwater. He loved dancing, playing pool, bowling and his favorite, watching wrestling and football.
Survivors include his mother, Susie G. Ramirez of Sweetwater; brothers and sisters, Ricky Ramirez and wife Carmen of Sweetwater, Irma Tovar and husband Moses of Sweetwater, Joe Ramirez and wife Lucy of Odessa, Elsa Lucio of Paragould, AK, Freddy Ramirez and wife Dawn of Potosi and Melissa Lomas and husband Carlos of Sweetwater; numerous nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ysidro Ramirez; and grandparents, Thomas and Maria Guerrero and Elias and Nira Ramirez.
Pallbearers will be Junior Jimenez, Robert Soto, Elias Ramirez, Joseph Ramirez, Herman Ramirez and Daniel Rodriguez.
