Funeral services for Richard Glen McIntire, Sr., 62, of Sweetwater will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 30, 2014 at Broadway Baptist Church. Rev. Chris Stephens will officiate and interment will follow at Roscoe Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
McIntire died Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at his home.
He was born Nov. 7, 1951, in Loraine,. Richard lived in Nolan County all his life and loved to farm cotton. He was a IBEW Journeyman Electrician and spent 30 years in the electrical field. Richard was a Baptist.
Survivors include his son, Richie McIntire, Jr. of Price, Utah; daughters, Nicole Carpenter of Loraine and Robbin Baker of Sweetwater; mother, Marcia McIntire of Sweetwater; sister, Melanie Houston of Sweetwater; brother, Van McIntire of Eugene, Oregon; eight grandchildren; and longtime companion, Shirley Baker of Sweetwater.
He was preceded in death by his father, Glen Ivron McIntire, on Nov. 2, 2007; first wife, Debbie Teaff in 1976; and his second wife, Dorothy Eaton.
Pallbearers will be Joey Newman, Gene Bartlett, Gary Spencer, Steve Guelker, Steve Hagerman and Matthew Nixon.
Honorary pallbearer is Arlon Orman.
