A local convenience store was the location of a robbery over the weekend.
According to Sweetwater Chief of Police Brian Frieda, a call was received around 1:05 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 29. The call reported a possible aggravated robbery at the 7-11 store located at 1400 Hailey.
As noted in the initial report, the store clerk stated that a male entered the store, dressed in black and wearing a black ski mask. He was also brandishing a weapon.
The male demanded that the cash register be opened, in which the clerk complied with his wishes. After he left the store, the clerk locked the door and called 911.
At this time, it is believed that only one person was involved. The male is believed to be around 5'5" or 5'7", weighing approximately anywhere from 150 to 180 pounds.
