Funeral services for Robert “Bob” Gordon Campbell, 80, of Roscoe, will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 22, 2011, at First Baptist Church in Roscoe with Rev. Adam Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Roscoe Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held from 7-8 p.m. on Thursday, April 21, 2011, at McCoy Funeral Home in Sweetwater.
Campbell died Tuesday, April 19, 2011, at Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital in Sweetwater.
He was born March 4, 1931, in Corpus Christi. He married Annell Hodges on April 20, 1957, in San Antonio. Bob worked for Industrial X-Ray Co. as a salesman and also as a technician for many years. He also owned his own company, Instrument Service and Engineering Co. for 10 years. He had lived in Roscoe for the past 17 years and in the Metroplex area for 35 years. He was a Korean veteran and a member of the American Legion. Bob was a member of First Baptist Church in Roscoe.
Survivors include his wife, Annell Campbell of Roscoe; daughters, Brenda O’Brien of Arlington and Lisa Campbell of Roscoe; son, Greg Campbell of Irving; sister, Pauline Campbell of Corpus Christi; three grandchildren, Colin O’Brien of Arlington, Caitlyn O’Brien of Arlington and Casey O’Brien of Arlington.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Cora Campbell; and an infant brother.
Pallbearers will be David O’Brien, Colin O’Brien Charlie Kingston and Cliff Burnett.
