Roscoe’s JV gets its 2nd straight victory

Roscoe’s junior varsity football team defeated Irion County, 30-8, in Irion County on Thursday for its second win in as many games this season.
Brayden Beal accounted for all four touchdowns by the Plowboys. He had scor-ing runs of 62 and 61 yards for Roscoe’s first two touchdowns, threw a 4-yard TD pass to Isaiah Gonzales in the third quarter and even scored defensively with an 80-yard interception return in the third stanza.
Beal ran over a 2-point conversion after his first TD and threw to Gonzales for another 2-point conversion after his second score. Roscoe also got a 2-point conversion run from Juan Sanchez.
Gage White also had an interception for Roscoe and Christian Acuna recovered a fumble.
“The guys played well,” said coach Jake Free-man. “We did a good job of overcoming some early ad-versity. We need to continue to work hard and improve.”
Roscoe tries to pick up its third straight win Thursday when it hosts Miles.
