New business considered at RPMH board of directors meeting

As a result of unopposed candidates, the Nolan County Hospital District (NCHD) will also be canceling their election on Saturday, May 11.
The cancellation was approved by the NCHD board during their meeting at Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital (RPMH) on Monday night. The following directors were uncontested and will serve a new, two-year term: Linda Kite, District 2; Steve Holcomb, District 4; Jose Villafranca, District 6 and Kirby Andrews, District 7.
In other new business presented at the meeting, plans for a cardiac rehab facility were also approved as well. During next month's meeting, the board will consider the proposal, which will outline specific details of the project.
Additionally, the Plan for Patient Services was approved. The item, which gives an overview on hospital services, departments, staff, etc., is reviewed annually, although no changes were cited for this year.
However, the development of an outpatient dialysis program was tabled until next month's meeting so that further information can be obtained from the hospital’s consultant. The minutes from the previous meeting were approved as well.
Furthermore, an executive session was held during the meeting, lasting around seventy minutes. After the closed session, several items were approved, such as the credentialing files, the fourth quarter 2012 Quality Report, the 2013 hospital priorities, the annual hospital Performance Improvement Plan, the annual hospital Safety Program, and the PI project.
