RPMH Board of Directors approve tax rate, 2018 Operating Budget

The Nolan County Hospital Board of Directors will held its regular monthly meeting Tuesday, September 26 in the Hospital Board Room located at 200 East Arizona Street, Sweetwater.
The Board adopted the 2018 Tax Rate and approved the proposed 2018 Operating Budget. Births were up at RPMH.
Finances for the month were deemed as better than anticipated and contractual were considered good.
There were 26 newborns born this month. Dr. Leidtke has delivered 19 of the 26 newborn.
The minutes of the September 7 and the 13, the Special Called meetings were approved.
The Board of Directors then went over the Medical Staff Report, Administrator’s Report,
Strategic Initiative/CHNP-IP, the Physician Recruitment and Finance Report. All of the reports were approved.
The Board then reviewed and approved the August financial statements; the August accounts payable and payroll.
The Board then approved the August bad debt write-off list. The bad debt write-off for August was $355,321.55
The Board then entered into Executive Session, as authorized by Government Code Section §161.032 of the Texas Health and Safety Code for the purpose of discussing the following matters, to wit: Credentialing Files, Quality Report, Medical Staff Rules & Regulations Revision, RPMH Performance Improvement Plan Revision, THA 2nd Quarter 2017 Data General Report and Patient Experience Report.
After reconvening into regular session, the Board then approved the Credentialing Files, Quality Report, Medical Staff Rules & Regulations Revision, RPMH Performance Improvement Plan Revision, THA 2nd Quarter 2017 Data General Report and Patient Experience Report.
The Board discussed the value and possible purchase of real estate located near hospital and approved adopting the 2018 tax rate and proposed 2018 operating budget. There were no informational items handed out and the Board broke to adjourn the meeting.
