RPMH to host Chamber Coffee

Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital, located at 200 E. Arizona, will be the site for this month's Chamber Coffee. The event will begin at 10 a.m. in the ER Classroom.

The Sweetwater Chamber of Commerce will hold its monthly chamber coffee at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 1, 2013, at Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital, located at 200 E. Arizona in Sweetwater.
The hospital is governed by a board of directors. Donna Boatright is the administrator. The hospital provides healthcare for the communities of Nolan County. RPMH was built and founded in 1976. It was founded as a hospital district in 1989.
RPMH offers a wealth of services including 24-hour emergency care, advanced radiology services including CT scans and MRIs, outpatient lab, physical therapy, surgical services, swing bed services, patient education, home health, home health alternative and assistive services (CBA, FC, PHC) and more.
Alongside the dedicated medical and administrative team, the hospital is supported by the RPMH Auxiliary who dedicate themselves to serving patients and guests of the hospital.
Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission. Accreditation means that the hospital has volunteered to undergo a challenging, comprehensive evaluation. The hospital has made a significant extra effort to review and improve the key factors that can affect the quality and safety of care.
Joint Commission standards are regarded as the most rigorous in the industry. Organizations that choose to be accredited by the Joint Commission are committed to providing the highest level of care. The Joint Commission's seal of approval is a sign that RPMH has demonstrated compliance with the most stringent standards of performance.
A team of health care professionals from Joint Commission personally visited the facility to conduct a review and looked at how the hospital provides a safe environment of patient care, educates patients about the risks and options for diagnosis and treatment, protects patients rights including the right to confidentiality, evaluates a patient's condition before, during and after a diagnosis and treatment, protect patients against infection and plans for emergency situations.
The fact that the hospital has gone through this evaluation shows an extraordinary commitment to provide safe, high quality care and a willingness to be measured against the highest standards of performance.

The hospital has over 350 employees with an annual payroll of $12 million.
