Trent — Ruby Acuna, 90, died Tuesday, June 10, 2014 in a local hospital. A rosary was said at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 12, at Starbuck Funeral Home Chapel. A mass took place at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 13, at Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church with Reverend Terry Brenon officiating. Burial was in the Trent Cemetery, directed by Starbuck Funeral Home.
Ruby was born July 4, 1923 in Sweetwater to Mary Ann (Hernandez) and Sesario Acuna. She was a member of Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church. She worked for Wall’s Manufacturing as a seamstress for 20 years. She loved to sew, knit, quilt and crochet. Ruby was helpful to her family.
Survivors include her brother, Jesse Acuna and wife Mary of Brownwood; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and one sister.
