Sam Q. Underhill

Sam Q. Underhill, age 93, passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2011, at Sweetwater Healthcare Center. 
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 15, 2011, at Belvieu Cemetery with Rev. Phillip Thomas officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home. 
Sam was born Sept. 28, 1917, in Yowell, Texas to Ernest C. and Myra L. (Hamilton) Underhill. He married Claudine O. Tidmore on October 16, 1951 in New Mexico. He was a U.S Army World War II Veteran. He worked for ADM  as a supervisor for many years before retiring. 
He is survived by one sister-in-law, Nalona Winnett of Sweetwater; nephews, Dick Dowell of Mathis and Carl Dowell and wife Sylvia of Lubbock; and great nieces and nephews, Sam Dowell, Nalona Jones, and Sarah Dowell. 
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest C. and Myra Underhill; and wife, Claudine O. Underhill.
