The recent Screw Terlingua chili cookoff that took place at this year's Roscoe Spring Fling brought in $700 that was donated to the Open Door Child Development Center at the United Methodist Church in Roscoe.
Organizers of the cookoff, Larry Cornoyer and Kelly Etheredge presented the check to Director of Open Door Child Development Center Cristal Aljoe. They are shown at far left.
The money will be used for playground equipment and to build a privacy fence around the playground.
