The Sweetwater Fire Department recently bought and presented Gorman volunteer firefighter Matt Clark with a new helmet. Clark suffered from first degree burns to his face and third degree burns to his hands when he rescued a fellow firefighter during a large fire in Gorman in April of this year. Clark's helmet was dropped and destroyed in his retreat from the fire. Shown from left to right are Sweetwater firefighters Richard Acuña, Todd Donham, Matt Clark, Brad Payne and Billy Villanueva. Clark is the son of Sweetwater Police Sergeant Robert and Linda Clark and is a graduate of Sweetwater High School.
