SFD receives donations

Sweetwater Fire Department

Invenergy held a fundraising golf tournament on Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010, at the Lake Sweetwater Golf Course. The funds raised — totaling over $10,000 — will benefit the Sweetwater Fire Department to purchase wind turbine rescue equipment that will serve all wind farms in Nolan County. Invenergy did this last year to benefit the Snyder Fire Department. Those who donated during the tournament were Invenergy of Sweetwater, Jim Webb/JW power line construction of Midland, Shermco Industries/Camp Springs of Dallas, Altezza of Sweetwater, Rope Partner of Santa Cruz, Calif., Wind Energy Turbine Services of Sweetwater, Hytorc Wind, LLC of Mahwah, N.J., Evans  Enterprises, Inc. of Oklahoma City, Okla., Concrete Mobility of Shakopee, Minn., B&B construction of Merkel, Energy Maintenance Service, LLC of Gary, S.D., Wind Energy Services Company of Sweetwater, Larry Teel/Patti Teel of McKinney, Nix Electric of Lubbock, Wind Power Supply Company of Midland, Dennis Quick Auto of Snyder, B-Line Filter & Supply of Odessa and J.R. Fuller Foods of Colorado City.
