Shelton going to regionals

Highland’s Eli Shelton is competing at the regional cross country meet Saturday in Grand Prairie after his recent third-place finish at the district meet. Shelton was timed in 20:23.
Highland’s Jeremy Hall and Madison Moseley nar-rowly missed taking regional berths. Hall was 12th in the boys competition with a time of 22:30 and Moseley was 13th among girls with a time of 13:58. Other girls competitors were Sabrina Romero, 20th (14:25); Beth Richburg, 22nd (14:28); Hannah Allen, 25th (14:35); Kailee Hall, 29th (14:58); and Bailey Garrett, 32nd (15:06). Highland was fifth in the team standings. The top three teams and top 10 individuals at district qualify for regionals, where the top three teams and top 10 teams advance on to state.
