SHS falls at Cooper

ABILENE — The Sweetwater High School volleyball team lost by a 3-0 count Tuesday at Abilene Cooper as the hosts prevailed by scores of 25-16, 25-20, 25-23.
Sweetwater (12-11) will be not see any action this weekend. However, the Lady Mustangs will return to Mustang Gym for the first time since Aug. 9 by hosting Lamesa next Tuesday.
Against Abilene Coo-per, Kelsi Crosson had 11 kills, seven digs, two blocks and two aces; Kendra Crosson had eight kills, 10 digs and two aces; Shelby Cason had five kills and one dig; Kathleen Campbell had three kills, one dig and two blocks; Alicia Finn had 13 kill assists, five digs and one block; Suede Shirley had 11 assists, four digs and three aces; Allie Zavaleta had seven digs; Kinsey Browning had six digs and one ace; Taylor McPherson had two digs; and Larissa Locklar had two digs and one kill.
