SHS teams at Colorado City in final tuneup for 5-3A meets

Sweetwater High School sent its track teams on Thursday to Colorado City’s Lone Wolf Relays for a final tuneup prior to the District 5-3A meets that will be held April 11-12 at Wylie.
Sweetwater’s varsity girls scored 76 points to record a fourth-place finish in their division, while Sweetwater’s varsity boys placed ninth with 28 points in their division. The JV boys team also competed at Colorado City on Thursday and scored 52 points for a fifth-place finish in their division.

VARSITY BOYS
28 points (9th place)
Shot put — Tadeo Canon-Masjoan 5th (37-2); Chase Saunders 6th (37-1).
High jump — Kaleb Hoover 3rd (5-10).
Discus — Chase Saunders 6th (97-6).
400 relay — 6th (44.76).
800 relay — 4th (1:34.73).
300 hurdles — Nick Nemir 2nd (40.25).
JV BOYS
52 points (5th place)
Shot put — Kaegan Jef-frey 6th (30-8 1/4)
