Sweetwater’s Kelsi Crosson is shown getting a hit in a recent district game with Big Spring. Crosson and her Lady Mustang softball teammates have a key game at Wylie at 4:30 p.m. today as they push for the program’s first playoff berth in several years. Sweetwater comes in with a 3-2 record and is in second place, while Wylie is 1-3.
In addition, the Mustang baseball team will be playing today at Wylie at 4:30 p.m. as it attempts to snap a two-game losing streak. Sweetwa-ter brings a 1-3 record into the contest. Today’s Sweetwater-Wylie games end a four-game road swing for the softball and baseball teams through District 5-3A before returning home a week from today when they entertain Brownwood.
The softball team is idle next Tuesday, while the baseball team goes to Ranger Junior College for a 4:30 p.m. non-district game against the Ranger Junior College JV baseball team.
