SHS tennis team plays at Levelland

The Sweetwater High School tennis team recently had several top individual finishes when it competed at an invitational tournament in Levelland.
In boys singles, Chris Hernandez took third place while Michael Foust won consolation honors. Austin Cotherman and Brandon Ellison teamed up to finish third in boys doubles. On the girls side, Heidi Taylor was fifth in singles while the pairing of Jenny Ordway and Dugan Thompson teamed up for a second-place finish in girls doubles.
“I was extremely pleased with how well we competed,” said head coach Shella Arnwine. Sweetwater was one of 11 schools entered in the tournament.
