SHS Volleyball practices begin Monday

Sweetwater High School volleyball practices will begin Monday, Aug. 4 at the SHS gym. The morning session on Aug. 4 will get started with roll check at 6:30 a.m. and continue until a lunch break from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., according to coach Liz Miller. The afternoon session will be held from 1-3:45 p.m., and hitters and setters will remain at the gym to practice from 3:45-4:15 p.m.
According to Miller, practices will continue through the week. Scrimmages will be at San Angelo Central on Friday, Aug. 8 and at Frenship on Saturday, Aug. 9. Sweetwater begins the season by hosting Grape Creek on Monday, Aug. 11. All freshman matches this season will be held at Sweetwater Middle School, Miller said.
