SISD raises funds for United Way

December 2, 2013

Sweetwater ISD recently completed their campaign for the Nolan County United Way.
The Sweetwater High School Cheerleaders donated $100 from their Kiss a Pig Contest. Pictured is SHS cheerleader Caroline Brennan holding the pig and SHS teacher Martha Aleman kissing the pig.
The cheerleaders are under the leadership of Kassidi Seaton and Candy Mercer.
SISD employees and students generously donated a total of $9,035. Through United Way, donations feed kids and senior citizens (Backpack Buddies and SNAP), keep families safe (West Texas Children's Advocacy Center and Gateway Family Services), provide for medical needs (Cancer Services Network and Big Country Medical Reserve Corps), support children and parents (Women's Resource Center) and develop our kids into tomorrow's leaders (Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts).
Together Nolan County United Way and Sweetwater ISD are Sweetwater Strong!
