Through the generosity of the Sweetwater Independent School District team, $7,000 was recently donated to the local Nolan County United Way.
This donation will support nine local agencies including Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Senior Nutrition Activities Program (SNAP), Gateway Family Services, West Texas Children's Advocacy Center, Women's Resource Center, Cancer Services Network, Sweetwater Backpack Buddies and Big Country Medical Reserve Corp.
Many generous employees pledge monthly payroll deductions to support these local resources that provide support to the community. Annually, Sweetwater ISD is a United Way top contributor.
