SISD trustees approve proposed pipeline right-of-way project

March 26, 2013

The project was one of several action items presented at the SISD board of trustees meeting.

A proposed pipeline right-of-way project was approved by the Sweetwater ISD (Independent School District) Board of Trustees during their Thursday night meeting.
Making the presentation was SISD business manager Nathan Ehlert, noting that the pipeline would run from Colorado City all the way to Houston and is located north of an already-existing line.
The line, which is fifty feet wide, would run through a delinquent tax lot of about seventeen acres. Of that amount, about three acres would be impacted by roughly 1.6 acres of the permanent right-of-way line.
The proposed cost includes the line along with other costs and totals about $5,680. As the school district is the only entity noted for the land, they would obtain the money.
