Caden Smith

Roscoe’s Caden Smith has recently received more postseason football honors.
Smith, a 6-3, 240-pound senior, was chosen this week by the Abilene Reporter-News to its All-Big Country Class 1A Football Team as a defensive lineman after a season in which he record-ed 109 tackles. In addition, Smith received honorable mention to the team on offense at quarterback.
Also, Smith has been nominated as an Old Spice Player of the Year, making him among a select group of players eligible to be selected as a national Old Spice Player of the Year and be honored in a full-page feature in USA Today. The program honors athletes who are able to elevate their play and step up when the heat is really on and embody lead-ership, performance and desire, and serve as exam-ples to their teammates on and off the field. Smith is also eligible to be named one of 50 national Players of the Year and receive a plaque and other awards.
