Sweetwater Middle School boys basketball coverage

The Sweetwater Middle School boys defeated Snyder in three games Feb. 6. The eighth grade Red (42-21), eighth grade White (28-13) and seventh grade Red (23-18) won, while the seventh grade White lost 28-7.
Denzell Moore scored 10 points, Michael Lawrence eight, Joe Ruiz six, Michael Hunt, Adrian Vizzerra and J’Corey Amos four and Mark Lawrence, Hardy Escobar and Cornelio Mendez two for the eighth grade Red team; Alontae Heath had 11 points, Matthew Trevino five, Isaiah Gonzales and Deshaun Williams four and Adrian Ortega and Roman Acuna two for the eighth grade White team; Jacoby Hunt scored eight points, Rocky Perez five, Jordan McGee four, Daniel Olguin three, Darian Dowd two and Frank Ortega one for the seventh grade Red team; and Gabriel Salazar scored four points and Isaac Currie three for the seventh grade White team. It was the final game for all four of the Sweetwater Middle School basketball teams.
