SPPA hosts reception for retiring Chief Kelley

Shown is retiring Sweetwater Chief of Police Jim Kelley with his wife, Scharles Kelley, accepting plaques at a retirement party hosted by the Sweetwater Police Patrol Association. Plaques were also made for the couple’s two sons, Paxton and Tanner.
Many members of the community and many agencies who work closely with the Sweetwater Police Department were in attendance at the reception held at Fourth and Elm Church of Christ.
Another retirement reception will be hosted by the City of Sweetwater to honor Chief Kelley for 34 years of service to the city from 3-4:30 p.m. on Monday, April 30, 2012, Chief Kelley’s last day on the job. The reception will take place in the City Commission room at City Hall.
