Stanley Goff

Stanley Goff, of Mason, passed away on Monday, August 1, at the age of 61.  Mr. Goff is survived by his parents Herbert and Juanita Goff, of Mason, a son Jerrod Goff and wife Annie of Frisco, a sister Melinda Hoover and husband David of Colorado City and one grandson Cameron Goff.  He is also survived by a nephew Dane Hoover and wife Autumn of Grape Creek, a niece Tracy Komppa and husband Steven of Colorado City and great-nieces and nephews Tyler Hoover, Kendra Hoover, McKinna Komppa and Jayce Komppa.  Last but not least, he was survived by his beloved dog Shawnee and many friends throughout the United States.
Stan was born on March 22, 1950, in Brady, Texas to Herbert Goff and Juanita Elliott Goff.  He was a graduate of Mason high School, a member of the Mason Church of Christ, and worked as a welding inspector.  He loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing and some of his best times were spent guiding on exotic hunts.  He enjoyed traveling and was able to hunt in several countries.  Stan enjoyed being around people, made friends easily and almost never forgot a name!  He was very handy and liked to build things. Along with welding, he could also do carpentry and electrical work.
Funeral services for Stanley Goff were held on Thursday, August 4, at 2:00 p.m. in the Mason Funeral Home chapel.  Interment followed in the Voca Cemetery. Visitation with the family was Wednesday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at Mason Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Mason County Cancer Benefit.
