"This is our single, biggest event of the year as Kiwanis," Bill Haley said.
This year, there are ten elementary division acts, six intermediate acts, six middle school acts and four high school acts. All contestants will begin rehearsals at 7:45 a.m., on Saturday morning and around 5:15 contestants will gather in preparation for their performance.
The production is made possible through the help of over 70 volunteers. Gary Gibson will be helping with sound and Melody Copeland and a group of students will be handling the lighting. Javier Franco will be the stage manager, for the night, and Warren Crawford will be handling the curtain. Master of Ceremonies will be David Ware.
Tickets will be sold, at the door starting at 5:30 p.m.. Adult tickets are $8 and student tickets will be $6. All the money raised from the performance will be put towards the benefit of the communities youth, such as the Sophomore of the Year scholarship.
Acts will include singing, dancing, hula hooping and a duet. Performances are expected to be unique and all are encouraged to attend. For more information contact any of the local Kiwanis members.
