Sub-varsities lose to Wylie

Sweetwater’s sub-varsity high school volleyball teams were both defeated by Wylie here on Tuesday to fall to 0-2 in district play.
Sweetwater’s JV lost 3-25, 13-25. Katie Fox had two kills; Marissa Moncada had one kill, one ace and one dig; Alyssa Soles had seven digs; Sarah Valdez had five assists and three digs; Abby Garcia had two digs and one block; Lauren Jones had two digs and one ace; and Alyssa Villanueva and Kristi Ward had one dig.
Sweetwater’s freshmen lost to Wylie 16-25, 19-25. The top individual players were Brittany Peeples (three kills and 11 digs); Davina Walker (three kills, eight digs and two assists); Annaliese Espinoza (three kills, five digs and one ace); Kaitlyn Foster (three assists, six digs and one block); Rhylee Meneses (eight digs); Natalie Valdez (four digs); and Destiny Renteria (three digs).
