Sub-varsity girls get split vs. Clyde

The Sweetwater JV girls came away with a win, but Sweetwater’s freshman girls lost on Tuesday at Clyde.
The JV girls won, 21-10, as they improved to 6-1 this season. Sweetwater led 12-8 at halftime, and held Clyde to just two points after in-termission. Shaneese Brown and Maddie Jones had six points, Larissa Locklar and Karlee Murff four and Tay-lor McPherson one.
Sweetwater’s freshman girls were ahead of Clyde 8-5 at the end of one quarter and 20-14 at halftime, but wound up losing 38-30 as they fell to 6-2 overall. The teams were tied 24-24 after three quarters. Sweetwater got scoring from four different players. Claire Williams had a team-high 15 points while Lexi Castillo scored eight, Bianca Castillo four and Abby McPherson three.
