Sunday school to begin at First Presbyterian Church

August 16, 2013

BROADWAY BAPTIST CHURCH
We all know the song: “Amazing Grace.” We say and believe God’s grace is sufficient in all times, in all things and in all days, but do you realize there are different types of grace in the scripture. I have spoken often about “living grace” for our day to day situations and “dying grace” for when we meet the Lord. We also see in Acts 16:25 that Paul and Silas had “singing grace” when they were thrown in jail. In Colossians 4:6 Paul talks about the importance of believers having “speaking grace.” Also, in 2 Timothy 2:1 Paul reminds us of “strengthening grace.”
All of these are the manifold grace of God that Peter writes about in I Peter 4:10 which says: “As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.”
It is my prayer for you that God’s grace will be shown daily in your life as you seek His will, follow His plan and trust His hand. There is an old song that says, “Oh His grace is sufficient for me, and His love is abundant and free. Oh what joy floods my soul, just to know, just to know that His grace is sufficient for me.” May you find his grace sufficient to meet all your needs.
If you don’t have a church home, we, at Broadway Baptist Church, would like to welcome you to come and visit us this Sunday. HIGHLAND HEIGHTS UNITED METHODIST CHURCH

Brenda will sing a special musical selection during the morning worship.
As school begins in August, there are financial limitations for some families in purchasing school supplies and other items that are required. With our “School Outreach Ministry” our desire is to help alleviate the burden that is placed on families in providing for their children’s needs. “Bless This House” is calling upon prayer for these children and their families as they begin the school year. Pray that our contribution of articles that were delivered last week will be distributed wisely to the benefit of needy students, giving each one an opportunity and desire to give their utmost in their studies. Pray a wholesome atmosphere at all school campuses encourages both students and teachers to perform at their highest level. May the parents also assist their children at home by reiterating their education, being helpful with their homework, participating and being involved in their extracurricular activities.
You are always invited to join us at 1801 Lamar Street, sharing in our vision of making Disciples of Jesus Christ, growing spiritually, fulfilling our God-given gifts, witnessing to others, and ministering to ones in need.
