Tadeo Canon-Masjoan

Tadeo Canon-Masjoan has received another postseason football honor.
Sweetwater’s senior def-ensive lineman on Sunday was a second-team selection by the Abilene Reporter-News to its all-Big Country Super Team. He previously was a second team pick by the Reporter-News to its Class 3A-5A all-Big Country football team.
The 6-2, 245-pound Canon-Masjoan — a move-in from Argentina just before his junior year — finished this past season with 42 solo tackles, 76 assists, 12 pass hurries, three fumble recoveries, 16 tackles for a loss, nine sacks and one blocked kick. He also handled placekicking and kickoff chores and was even used as a fourth-down running back. Canon-Masjoan made the District 4-3A first team as a defensive lineman and the 4-3A second team as a kicker.
Also, Canon-Masjoan earned 3A all-state honorable mention on the defensive line from the Associated Press Sports Editors.
