State Representative Susan L. King held a town hall meeting in Roscoe on Friday. She briefly discussed the upcoming 2014 interim studies and touched on the big topics from the last legislative session: water, transportation, education and health care.
Roscoe residents, including Roscoe Mayor Pete Porter, City Manager Cody Thompson, Nolan County VCSO Robert McBride, RVFD Chief Gary Armstrong and Travis Williams of Blackland Smokehouse, voiced their opinions and concerns on several issues, mainly healthcare and education.
All in attendance agreed that the Affordable Care Act is one of the biggest problems, along with the skyrocketing cost of medical care.
