The Sweetwater volleyball team for the second year in a row will take on Burkburnett in the bi-district playoffs. However, the venue for this year’s playoff match will be different.
The teams will play at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Ranger Junior College, according to head coach Morgan Doyle. A year ago, the two teams held their playoff at Eastland High School and Burkburnett won the match in three games.
Sweetwater again qualified for the playoffs as the No. 3 team from District 5-4A with a 3-5 record, the same mark as No. 4-seeded Big Spring.
Burkburnett is the No. 2 seed from District 6-4A after winning its last regular-season match on Tuesday with Vernon.
Last year, Sweetwater and Big Spring also tied for third place in District 5-4A and Sweetwater won a tiebreaker to get the higher seed. Sweetwater defeated Big Spring twice this year to avoid the tiebreaker.
