SW, Snyder play for Junior League crown here today

Sweetwater’s Astros will play the Snyder Astros in a District 5 Junior League (ages 13-14) championship game at 7 p.m. today in Sweetwater.

Sweetwater’s Astros will play the Snyder Astros in a District 5 Junior League (ages 13-14) championship game at 7 p.m. today in Sweetwater.
Both teams advanced to the title matchup by winning their semifinal contests on Saturday. The Wylie Nationals (Senior League), Abilene Dixie Mets (Junior League) and Abilene Eastern Long-horns (Minor League) all won District 5 titles Sat-urday. The Junior League title game was originally set for Abilene.
Sweetwater had six teams competing in Dis-trict 5 tournaments this year, with two each from the Minor League (ages 9-10), Major League (ages 11-12) and Junior League.
