Sweetwater FFA chapter competes at the Area II Leadership Development Contest

The Sweetwater FFA chapter competed at the Area II Leadership Development Contest on Saturday, Nov. 17, at Howard Junior College. The chapter was well represented by four teams consisting of 12 members. These students advanced to the Area round of competition by placing in the top two of their event at the district level. Kyle Lambert placed second in Job Interview, advancing to the state contest in Huntsville on Nov. 30. The Senior Quiz team placed fifth (team members were Cody Chapman, Mackensey Hayes, Sean Morrow and Leah Warren), Senior Chapter Conducting Team was sixth place (team members were Sean Morrow, Kyle Lambert, Blake Young, Cameron Jones, Mackensey Hayes, Larissa Locklar and Stephen May), Senior Skills team was also sixth place (team members were Caroline Brennan, Jay Lomas, Stephen May and Blake Young).
