Sweetwater represented at Cline Shale Consortium meeting

The newly formed "Cline Shale Consortium" had its organizational meeting in San Angelo. The mission statement and committee structure was discussed. The Consortium will be contracting with University of Texas San Antonio to provide an economic impact study for the region. Sweetwater Chief of Police Brian Frieda and Sweetwater Enterprise for Economic Development (SEED) Executive Director Ken Becker represented Sweetwater on the committee (shown). Representatives from Abilene, Colorado City, Snyder, Big Spring and all over the Cline Shale were also in attendance. Another meeting is planned for July 30, to define the committee structure and purpose.
