Local Tejano artist Anjelique receives Best New Female Artist nomination

Zeravla Entertainment is announcing that Rokko Records' newest recording artist, Anjelique, has been nominated for Best New Female Artist at the 31st Annual Tejano Music Awards.
Since the age of 15, Anjelique has been representing West Texas as a female artist. Finally, after many years she has been awarded with this nomination.
In December of 2010, Anjelique re-released her debut album, "Regresa A Mi", with two original bonus tracks. She was voted as one of the Top 12 by the Tejano Music Industry.
“I was surprised, excited, and honored,” says Anjelique, “I sing for the love of music and to receive this nomination I feel like a winner already.”
Zeralva Entertainment and Rokko Records hope to bring a win home on Sept. 10, in which fans can help the cause. To cast your vote for your favorite Tejano artist, including Anjelique, log on to www.tejanomusicawards.com.
The Tejano Music Awards and various other special events produced by Texas Talent Musicians Association have provided a forum to create greater awareness and appreciation for Tejano music. The awards, which are on Sept. 10, will be in San Antonio at the San Antonio Event Center.
A reflection of its popularity is the yearly increase of crowds that travel to San Antonio each year to attend the Tejano Music Awards. The first Tejano music event, held in 1980, attracted an enthusiastic crowd of 1,300; now all combined events draw an audience of over 90,000 fans of Tejano music.
