Tennis team loses its finale

Sweetwater’s tennis team lost to Wall, 15-4, on Tues-day in San Angelo in its last fall match of the season.
Sweetwater had two win-ners (Jenny Medellin and Rebecca Gonzales) in girls singles, as well as Keygan Valdez in boys singles and the team of Bryan Vause and Jenny Medellin in mixed doubles. Sweetwater finished with a 2-3 record this fall in district matches and was 3-6 overall.
Sweetwater’s individual results follow:
Boys doubles — Keygan Valdez and Zac Bax lost 0-6, 0-6; Chris Shoemaker and Tyler Stacy lost 4-6, 3-6; Marc Butler and Christian Ulbrich lost 2-6, 2-6.
Girls doubles — Crystal Foust and Teresa Perez-Poe lost 3-6, 2-6; Naomi Gonza-les and Rebecca Gonzales lost 1-6, 0-6; Gisela Selano and Virginia Carly lost 4-6, 2-6.
Mixed doubles — Bryan Vause and Jenny Medellin won 6-1, 6-3.
Boys singles — Bryan Vause lost 1-6, 2-6; Zac Bax lost 3-6, 5-7; Keygan Valdez won 6-4, 6-3; Chris Shoe-maker lost 4-6, 6-3 (10-12 tiebreaker); Tyler Stacy lost 1-6, 1-6; Marc Butler lost 2-6, 1-6.
Girls singles — Jenny Medellin won 6-1, 2-6 (10-3 tiebreaker); Teresa Perez-Poe lost 4-6, 3-6; Crystal Foust lost 4-6, 1-6; Naomi Gonzales lost 2-6, 4-6; Rebecca Gonzales won 6-1, 6-3; Virginia Carly lost 0-6, 2-6.
