Texas National Bank customers go green

On Jan. 1, Texas National Bank began a campaign to encourage their customers to go green and reduce the amount of waste sent to the local landfill. The movement prompted customers to switch from paper statements to e-statements, a secure and convenient alternative to receiving bank statements in the mail. Customers were given from Jan. 1 through March 31 to sign-up for e-statements, and in return Texas National Bank promised to award an iPad to one environmentally conscious and lucky customer. The campaign was a great success according to Mike Fernandez at Texas National Bank. E-statement users increased 15% in the first quarter of 2013 and Mike estimates that their e-statement customers now help divert nearly half a ton of paper from the landfill every year. The Texas National Bank staff wants to thank everyone who participated in the recent e-statement campaign and encourage others to do good for the environment and go green.
