The Texas Tech Alumni Association â€“ Sweetwater Chapter is hosting their annual golf tournament and cookout on Friday, May 9.Â Golf begins at 1 p.m. at the Sweetwater Country Club and is $40 per person.
The cookout, open to all Texas Tech fans, begins with a social hour from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at Robert Whittekerâ€™s barn and is $25 per person.

Proceeds from the golf tournament and cookout benefit the chapter scholarship fund.
The Texas Tech Alumni Association boasts more than 29,000 members and is a great way for all Red Raiders to support their alma mater. The TTAA chapter network has more than 65 chapters nationwide and more than 40 just in the state of Texas. These local chapters sponsor events throughout the year and serve as a way for Red Raiders to stay connected. They also raise scholarship funds for students in their areas that are attending Texas Tech.
