Texas Theatre to host pictures with Santa

Texas Theater

Following the annual Sweetwater Christmas parade scheduled for Monday evening, Dec. 5, Santa will be on hand to pose for pictures with the kids in the lobby of the Texas Theater. This year because of the abundance of personal cell phones and cameras, parents will be allowed to take pictures with their own camera or cell phone camera. A small donation of $5 will be requested to help with the restoration and operation of the Theatre.
Tickets to win an authentic autographed Dallas Cowboy football helmet will also be available. It will be given away on Dec. 19.
In addition, some games of skill will be set up to entertain some of the older kids while their younger siblings pose with Santa. They are to be located in the main auditorium of the Theatre.
The parade, scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m. in the parking lot of Higginbotham / Bartlett will proceed west on Broadway to Ash Street. Due to the construction at the Nolan County Courthouse, there will not be the annual tree lighting ceremony.
