Thomas Joseph Wimmer

Sweetwater, Texas — Thomas J. Wimmer, age 72, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 18, in Sweetwater, Texas. Graveside services are at 10 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 21, at the Garden of Memories Cemetery with Rev. Philip Thomas officiating. Services are under the direction of the McCoy Funeral Home.
Thomas was born on April 29, 1940, in Oklahoma. He married Dorothy Sedden on Dec. 30, 1965, in Sweetwater. He was parts manager for Carmichael Ford, Bledsoe Ford and Championship Ford. He retired in 2004.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; son, Joe Wimmer and wife Ann of Snyder, Texas; daughter, Jill Montoya and husband Michael of San Angelo, Texas; four grandchildren, Josh and Jared Montoya and Brooke and Haden Wimmer; his mother, Lavania Azbill; and brother, Alvin Wimmer and wife Pauline of Snyder, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his dad, Alfonse Wimmer.
