Three enter guilty pleas

Three people entered guilty pleas during 32nd Judicial District Court proceedings on Tuesday.
Jimmy Lee Luna pleaded guilty to family violence assault, enhanced to a second degree felony with one prior conviction. Luna was sentenced to 10 years confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, probated for four years. He was also ordered to pay a $2,000 fine, $348 in court costs and $500 in attorney's fees. He will have to serve 240 hours of community service. Luna shall also attend and successfully complete the Male Batterers Intervention Course through community supervision.
Benito Cuellar pleaded guilty to family violence assault, a third degree felony. He was sentenced to 10 years confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, probated for four years. He was also ordered to pay a $3,000 fine, $348 in court costs and $500 in attorney's fees. He will have to serve 160 hours of community service. Cuellar shall also attend and successfully complete the Male Batterers Intervention Course through community supervision.
Charles Timothy McLarty pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated, a third degree felony. He was sentenced to 42 months confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. He was also ordered to pay a $2,000 fine, $523 in court costs, $60 in restitution to the Texas Department of Public Safety Crime Laboratory and $500 in attorney's fees. His driver's license will be suspended for one year and he will receive 55 days credit towards his sentence for time already served in jail.
