Story Hour at the County-City Library will be held today, July 24 at 10:45 a.m.
Library Staff will lead the parents and children in stories and songs. Call 235-4978 for more information or go to www.sweetwaterlibrary.org.
Also, the Sweetwater Kiwanis Club will be having their annual swim day today at the public pool from 1-6 p.m. The Kiwanis Club will pay the entrance fee for children 4-12 years old and be providing popsicles courtesy of Brookshire’s throughout the day.
This evening, sign-ups for Sweetwater Youth Football League Cheer will take place from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, July 24, at Rhema Valley Church, located at 3304 E. Broadway (straight across from the USG entrance).
Flag cheer is for grades Pre-K through Kindergarten; Mighty Mites cheer is for first and second graders; junior pee wee cheer is for third and fourth graders; and pee wee cheer is for fifth and sixth graders.
Parents/guardians will need to bring a copy of the child's report card and birth certificate. For more information, contact DeeAnn at 325-864-3459.
And tonight in Colorado City, the Mitchell County Senior Citizen Dance will be held at the Colorado City Civic Center, located at 157 W. 2nd St. from 7 to 10 p.m. There will be live music by Mike Porter and his friend.
Everyone is welcome and guests may bring snacks. There will be an entry fee per person; call Faye at 254-654-5785.
