While they did well in Math, Number Sense and Calculator, in Science they excelled as a team and individuals. The team consisting of Daniel Peña, John Clift, Kilanie Arpin, Chance Saunders, Lizzie Gray and Marc Butler received eighth place out of 21 teams.
Individually, Daniel Peña received eighth place overall in the seventh grade division for Science. Chance Saunders received 17th place overall in the eighth grade division.
The coaches, Larry Hopple, Dan Huskerson and Carola Martin, wish to thank members of the community that supported TMSCA in the State event: Lions Club, Sweetwater Jaycees, Ludlum Measurements and Sweetwater Middle School. These funds allowed the students to experience an educational and fun trip. Sweetwater Middle School and the sponsors are so proud of all the students that particpated this past year.
