TNB to host Chamber Coffee
Texas National Bank will host the monthly Chamber of Commerce Coffee and belatedly celebrate Texas Independence Day at 10 a.m. on Wednesday in the bank’s lobby at 400 East Broadway. Guests will be invited to enter a drawing for a framed Texas flag print to be given away at the conclusion of the coffee. Independence serves as the underlying theme of Texas National Bank so it’s a natural fit that the bank’s staff celebrates Texas Independence Day with an eye on the spirit of freedom. From replica flags depicting the state's rich heritage to Travis’s last letter from the Alamo, TNB will fondly remember generations of Texans devoted to Independence. Texas National Bank opened for business on Monday, May 8, 1995, immediately following its acquisition of the Sweetwater Branch of Hamlin National Bank, which had been operating in Sweetwater since January of 1990. In 1997 the bank acquired the local branch of Bluebonnet Savings from State National Bank.
