Employees of Texas National Bank

February is American Heart Month and Sweetwater residents are doing their part to raise awareness for heart health and funds for the American Heart Association. Texas National Bank employees organized a bake sale last week with all of the proceeds going to the American Heart Association. Shown are Carolyn Alexander, Jennifer Cantu, Jerrie Gee, Lynda Ensminger, Cynthia Serrano, Cindy Martinez, Jessica Galindo and Kathy Staggs. The Nolan County American Heart Association Board will be hosting their first Wear Red Day Luncheon on Friday, Feb. 25, 2011, to promote women's heart health during heart month. The luncheon will begin at noon at The Center at Texas State Technical College with special guest speaker Susan Hash of Abilene. Hash is employed by TSTC in Abilene and is a recent cardiac survivor. Tickets for the luncheon are $10 per person, $60 to purchase a table for six and $80 to sponsor a table with a company's sign and/or logo and six tickets. Also available for purchase will be the 2011 Wear Red t-shirts for $10 each. All proceeds will go to the American Heart Association. Please RSVP to Joni Coons at 235-7418. Tickets for the luncheon can be purchased from Donnie Ruppert at First Financial Bank, Jerri Gee at Texas National Bank, Joni Coons at Texas State Technical College, Cody Paty at Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital, Richard Smola at Ludlum Measurements and Tim Fambrough at the Nolan County Courthouse.
