Trinity Baptist breaks ground on renovations

April 16, 2011

Following morning worship service on Sunday, April 10, 2011, Trinity Baptist Church broke ground for a much-anticipated Family Life Center.

“To God Be the Glory” was the phrase most uttered at Trinity Baptist Church this past Sunday, April 10, 2011. It was following morning worship this day that the Trinity Church Family broke ground for a much-anticipated Family Life Center.  The community is invited to watch the blessings in progress as you travel down Hailey Street in your daily commute. The first signs of construction should be evident soon.
Back in 1956, the church's founding fathers built a strong building, meant to last through generations to come. It is the Trinity Church Family’s intent, with God’s help, to build the same type of facility in order for the future generations of the church to enjoy the blessings God sends.
With this new Family Life Center, the Trinity Family will be able to enjoy fellowships with everyone in one place rather than scattered about. The new facility will serve as an activity center (with 17’ high finished ceilings) and a meeting place for large and small groups, complete with a new, larger kitchen area. There will also be a new entrance to the church where the senior adults will have parking spaces on level ground to aid in their entrance into the building. Also included in the plans are an open foyer near the entrance, facilitating the gathering enjoyed between Sunday school and worship. New restrooms will also be part of the plan. Eventually, a full renovation of the lower floor of the education building and offices will be completed.
The Trinity family has plans to complete as much of the construction themselves as feasible, with their work being considered an “investment” in Trinity’s future. "Come grow with us, and join us for worship at 1506 Santa Fe here in Sweetwater.  You will be blessed, as will we."
